If you could direct one, how it would look like? Complete redesign to look modern, a bit vintage, Black and White or good old fashioned black lines on white like the originals? Would you rework Oswald's character? Make him more familial, less violent and surrealist for today's audiences, or dare to make them like they used to be?
... Would he talk !??
Getting Oswald under the spotlight again doesn't seems easy: in some ways, there's potential, in other ways, he could end up as a bland, useless character. Go on and tell!

If i directed a Oswald cartoon i would not change is appearance, because it think certain things should be left the way they are. I would make him less violent though but i would keep him in black and white to preserve his good OLD-Fashioned looks, i think it would be quite a trick making a story line for him since he dose not have a "voice". What would you do?

No new designs! I actually have been thinking this one over and decided that if I were making a new Oswald cartoon then I would have Oswald rarely 'speak' like with a voice but what I would do for most of the time is have him sound like a slide whistle. When he would rarely talk I would either use Frank Welker or Jim Cummings. The violence and romance is a-okay with me as long as it's subtle! The main thing wrong with cartoons now is lack of subtlety and dumbing it down for children! There's absolutely nothing wrong with treating your main audience with respect and trust that they are intelligent people that know better than to imitate a cartoon character. I also thought it'd be nice if when Oswald sounded like a slide whistle then only his family and closest friends could understand him. I also thought it would be way cool if he and Mickey worked together or often fought for the spotlight. That alone could sprout potential for the lucky lil rabbit

My Oswald would have a friendler face, blue shorts , and be voiced by Frank Welker. I wouldn't have that much kissing(for little kids)and he would still take the lower part of his body and take it to his chest(to look all toughlike)when he got into a fight or got mad. I think Mickey and Oswald could get along with each other or maybe even be brothers. Whenever Mickey would win at something Oswald would get into a fight. I think kids and adults would think it was hilairous. ;D
